This 8-week course is meant to introduce students of all levels to pivotal techniques used in ceramics. This includes but is not limited to: throwing down, one-pull bowls, spiral wedging, stacking pieces, large-scale work, pulling handles from the pot, lidded vases, closed forms, altered forms (forms without bottoms), and troubleshooting throwing problems.

The course will have a variety of demos in each class but is also free-flowing. This will allow students to determine which demos they’d prefer to watch, what they want to see more of, and sufficient time for individual instruction. Demos are not required to attend–feel free to work on individual projects during that time. Whatever stage of ceramics you’re currently at, it’s my goal this 8-week course will level you up!

• $395 per person for 8 weeks

• Includes unlimited reclaim clay
• Firing fees included  ($50 = 5 pennies/cubic inch)
• 12 person max per class
• Students will have 16 hours during the 8 weeks of outside studio time which can be used for missed sessions (travel, work, illness) or to get some extra studio time.
• POTTERS HOURS: It’s like office hours, and an instructor will be here to help. These are the times when you can sign-up for make-up or extra studio time.
