About Us

Forma is a community clay studio where people come to learn, experiment, and grow with clay. We serve adults and youth who want a structured, supportive place to develop skills, explore creativity, and work alongside other makers. Our space is designed to be functional, calm, and welcoming, with clear systems that help everyone succeed while maintaining respect, safety, and consistency.

  • Our Approach (Why Forma?)

At Forma, we focus on fundamentals first and return to them often. Instruction is clear, patient, and responsive to the needs of the people in the room. Beginners receive steady guidance, while experienced students have space to refine their technique, explore new forms, and experiment with materials. Learning at Forma is hands on. You’ll revisit forms, techniques, and studio practices over weeks and months to build confidence, skill, and understanding. We emphasize care for shared materials, thoughtful use of space, and learning through repetition and practice.

Meet our Team

Forma is run by a small team of working potters, instructors, and staff who bring a variety of perspectives, skills, and experience with clay. Together, they manage day to day operations, maintain the studio, support members, and cultivate a vibrant, long term studio culture. Working members and contract instructors round out the team, keeping the studio active, inspiring, and connected to our broader ceramics community.
