Forma Members: 24/7 access

Public Studio & Gallery Hours: Mon-Thu 9-9 | Fri + Sun 9-5 | Sat 9-9

Not exactly. Forma doesn’t operate a full retail shop, but our on site gallery showcases work for sale by our members and instructors. We also carry a small selection of Forma branded merchandise.

Forma does not offer drop in studio access. Instead, you can get into the studio through one time wheel and handbuilding workshops, multi week classes, or a studio membership. These options provide structured access to the space, equipment, and materials, and help keep the studio running smoothly for everyone.

Kiln access is included for members and students during classes and studio projects, but independent kiln rental is not available.

Forma’s gallery features work by our members and instructors. We don’t sell work by outside artists through the gallery, but we do occasionally host special events, like holiday markets, featuring guest artists. The best way to hear about those opportunities is to join our mailing list!

Classes, Events & Membership

Yes! Forma hosts private events for groups and team building experiences. Celebrate birthdays, special occasions, or just get together with friends to make something with clay in our fully equipped studio space.

Absolutely. Forma memberships give 24/7 access to wheels, glazes, tools, and studio space, plus the support of our community of potters, instructors, and other members. Plans are flexible to suit all levels, from beginners to advanced ceramicists.

Our membership waitlist typically runs a few months. Members come and go, and we’ll update you on your place once a month. Add your name to join the waitlist, and in the meantime, you can keep making in our classes and studio.

We have something for everyone! If you’re brand new to clay, try a one-time Clay Time or Build It workshop. For a deeper introduction, our 8 week Wheel Intro or 4 week Handbuilding Intro classes give you structured guidance and room to grow. Intermediate to advanced makers can join Wheel All Levels or Handbuilding All Levels classes. We also offer kid friendly options like First Spin and First Build, ClayTime Kiddo + Adult classes, and week long Summer Clay Camp sessions. With so many options, feel free to reach out, we’re happy to help you find the class that’s right for you!

Family friendly classes allow adults to work alongside their children. Check individual class listings for age and participation details.

Yes. Students registered in Forma classes have access to Potters Hours, our version of supervised open studio time outside of class hours to practice, explore, and experiment.

We offer fun, hands on birthday parties for kids in a safe, fully equipped ceramic studio. Parties are designed to be memorable, creative, and mess friendly.

Clay, Glazes & Safety

We provide high quality clay and materials designed for reliable firing, so your work comes out safe, consistent, and ready to enjoy. You’re also welcome to bring your own clay and glazes, as long as they’re appropriate for mid range (cone 6) firings. This gives you flexibility to experiment while maintaining reliable results in our shared studio environment.

Yes! All Forma glazes are developed and tested in house for color, fit, safety, and durability. Our glazes are all food safe, lead free, and designed to work well on all of our clay bodies.

Yes. All of Forma’s glazes are lead free, carefully formulated for cone 6 firing, and safe for use on functional ware like mugs, bowls, and plates when applied and fired correctly.

Members can bring glazes suitable for cone 5-6 (mid range) firing. We recommend testing glazes on a small piece first, as results will vary by clay, application, and firing.
