Private Events & Workshops

Forma offers custom one time pottery classes and other clay workshops for groups, teams, and celebrations. Led by Forma instructors, these sessions provide guided instruction, all materials, and a supportive studio environment designed to work well for both beginners and returning makers.

Private events can be tailored for adults, youth, or mixed age groups and range from small private lessons to larger group workshops.

    All private events are instructor led and designed to be clear, well paced, and accessible. No prior experience is required.

    • Wheel throwing workshops
    • Handbuilding workshops

    • Team building and workplace gatherings
    • Birthdays and special celebrations

    We’ll help you choose the right format based on group size, ages, and goals.

  • Wheel Throwing

    Wheel throwing events introduce participants to the fundamentals of working on the potter’s wheel, including centering and shaping basic forms.

    Instruction and demonstrations included

    Each participant may keep up to two pieces

    Forma staff trims, fires, glazes, and fires work for you

    Participants select a glaze color

    Finished work is ready for pickup at a later date

    Wheel events are best for adults and youth ages 12 and up.

  • Handbuilding

    Handbuilding events focus on making ceramic work without the wheel, using slabs, coils, and simple tools. This format works well for mixed age groups and guests who prefer a slower, more tactile process.

    Project based instruction

    Forma handles all glazing and firings

    Finished work is ready for pickup at a later date

    Suitable for a wide range of ages and experience levels

Events take place in Forma’s fully equipped studio with ample workspace, shared tools, and a clean, well organized layout.

Pricing is per person and based on group size:

2-5 people: $125 per person

6-11 people: $100 per person

12+ people: $75 per person

Additional fees may apply for shipping finished work.
