Kids + Teens

Little humans need to play with clay just like everyone else right? We’ve got you covered with lots of experiences for kids and teens of all abilities.

Single Sessions

Claytime classes for littles, tweens and teenagers! This is a perfect place to start if you have a clay curious kiddo or teen who’s caught the “ceramics bug” and wants to play with clay outside of school. And don’t fret, we have the perfect class for grown-ups and their little people. Adult + Kiddo Claytime is a perfect activity for a grand-parent and any adult + kiddo combo.

Kid/Teen Potters Hours

Kid/Teen Potters Hours are a flexible, fun ceramics program designed just for smaller humans aged 9 years old and up! Designed for returning students, Potters Hours allows young artists to learn and create at their own pace. New students should first attend a Kid/Tean Claytime. Here’s how it works:

Flexible Packages: Parents can purchase a package of hours that can be used whenever it suits your schedule during our Kiddo Potters hours which are typically after school and on weekends.

  • Skill Progression: If your kid/teen has never played with clay before, they will be guided by an instructor through the skills necessary to complete the Forma prerequisites for Potters Hours.  Once completed, the basic skills will give your kid the flexibility to work on their own, having more “open studio time.” Kids who have previously taken a class or camp with us will get a head start in checking off proficiency skills.
  • At Your Own Pace: Young people can work on their pottery projects over multiple sessions, storing their pieces on a shelf at Forma between visits.
  • Guided Independence: During Potters hours, there will always be a knowledgeable Forma instructor on hand. Kids can explore their creativity with the freedom to work on their own, but with expert guidance when needed

Birthday Parties and Special Events

Playing with clay is such an immersive and unique birthday party experience. For kids as young as preschool all the way up to teens, Forma will curate a one-of-a-kind workshop for the birthday kiddo and whoever they are celebrating with. Tell us when you’re looking to come, and provide a few details, so we can help you plan the perfect birthday party.
