Faenza Ceramics: Fiorenza Pancino’s Unique Approach
Fiorenza Pancino, who will be visiting Forma Clay as part of the Esperienza Artist In Residency program. We will be hand building an object from nature. Learn her unique approach and hand-build your own creation inspired by her technique. Fiorenza will speak in English and Italian with the translator at her side.
Fiorenza Pancino was born near Venice, but has lived and worked in Faenza for over 20 years.
Fiorenza’s art explores the deep and complex dynamics of interpersonal relationships, human frailties, the unconscious and the relationship with the social environment. Recent projects include an International Ceramic Residency at Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, China and at Ceratekno, Toki, Japan. Fiorenza has exhibited at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rome, at the Sogo Museum of Art in Yokohama in Japan, at the International Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale in Icheon, South Korea and at the the Cantir Museum in Argentina in Spain.
