During this 4-week hand building class you will learn fundamental techniques of clay slab construction, coil building, and sculpture. We will create both hand built functional and decorative pieces like mugs, cups and small dishes as well as 3 dimensional sculpture. This class is a perfect way to explore and enjoy the creative, expressive and therapeutic energy of clay. Finally, your treasures will be completed with textures, shapes, surface decoration and glaze. You can look forward to creating truly unique one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces. Whether you’re looking to gain skills in a new hobby, express your artistic side, or simply unwind and de-stress through a hands-on creative experience, our hand building class is the perfect opportunity. No prior experience is required—just a passion for creativity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

• Each class is 2 hours
• Includes enough clay to make many many things
• Firing fees included (up to 500 cubic inches)
• 8 person max per class
• Students will have 8 hours during the 4 weeks of Potters Hours time which can be used for missed sessions (travel, work, illness) or to get some extra studio time.
• POTTERS HOURS: It’s like office hours, and an instructor will be here to help. These are the times when you can sign-up for make-up or extra studio time.
